These guys have a good variety of everything from backpacking, snow skiing, mountaineering, clothing, shoes, camping... everything. Oregon Mountain Community on Sandy blvd is rockin' my world! They don't have everything that REI has... but what they do have is usually less expensive, equal quality, and knowledgeable people working there. PLUS, you are supporting a local business. They have sales that can provide to be productive in picking up some extra stuff for cheap. They also do rentals. We were able to rent ice-ax and crampons for Mt. Adams over the summer at a very reasonable price. e-omc.com is their website... you can also order from there.
